General and specific responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
- To ensure the safety and enjoyment of each camper and staff member at Camp Tall Timbers.
- Campers
- First priority to make sure that each camper is in a safe environment.
- Conduct daily inspections of cabins for maintenance and hygiene concerns.
- Ensure that proper supervision is taking place in the cabin.
- Oversee that each cabin has a system in place for maintaining the hygiene and safety of the campers.
- See that each camper has a good time and makes friends while at camp.
- Help campers adjust to the camp environment.
- Assist and supervise the evening program
- Assist staff members and directors with problem campers, i.e., homesick discipline, etc.
- First priority to make sure that each camper is in a safe environment.
- Staff
- Act as a reference to the staff concerning any camp issue.
- Oversee and supervise staff members, in coordination with the director.
- Work with program directors as needed in overseeing predetermined activity areas. Ensure that the activity is safe and well organized.
- Complete activity evaluation reports.
- Assist with lesson plans for activity.
- Work with the director in establishing guidelines and implementation of rules of the camp, i.e., bedtime, etc.
- Act as a reference to the staff concerning any camp issue.
