All-Inclusive Camp Fun

What “All-Inclusive” Means

One price. Everything included. A session for every kind of camper.

From a first-time four-day Rookie Weekend to a full seven weeks, every session at Camp Tall Timbers operates on the same simple idea: one price covers everything your camper needs.

At most camps, the price you see is just the starting point. Horseback riding costs extra. Laundry sets you back more. At Camp Tall Timbers, it doesn’t work that way. Your tuition covers room and board, instruction in every activity area, horseback riding, linens, laundry, and counselor gratuities… all of it.

While many camps charge separately for horseback riding, it’s already part of every session here. What you see below is what you pay.

And you don’t pay it all at once

A deposit reserves your camper’s spot. The rest is billed in four equal installments spread over the months leading up to camp — not one large bill.

New for 2027!

New to Camp? Start With a Rookie Weekend

If your camper has never spent a night at camp before, the idea of two straight weeks away can feel like a big leap. The Rookie Weekend, for campers in 1st through 5th grade, is a shorter first step: four days and three nights at Camp Tall Timbers, getting a taste for what a full-session camper does in a more approachable timeline.

July 15 – 18, 2027

4 days, 3 nights

Thursday through Sunday, right in the middle of our three-week session.

Grades 1–5

Fully all-inclusive

Ease into a full session with a smaller commitment surrounded by campers who spend every summer at Camp Tall Timbers.

Grades 1–5

The Rookie Weekend runs in the middle of our three-week session, so your camper joins right in! During these four days, they join in on everything already happening: activities, meals, campfires, and more.

Three nights is enough time to move past the first-night jitters and start to feel at home, without asking for a bigger commitment than a first-timer is ready to make.

So Much to Do, Every Camper Builds Their Own Days

A session at Camp Tall Timbers is never one-size-fits-all. Every kid is unique, so every camper builds their own daily schedule across six activity areas. No two summers look quite the same.

Curious what a typical day looks like? Have a specific question about cabins, meals, or safety? Visit our Activities page for a full rundown of every activity area. You can also check our FAQs for answers to the questions families ask most.

Payment Structure

Add-Ons

A couple of optional extras sit outside the all-inclusive tuition, for families who want them:

  • Private tennis lessons: $90 for three half-hour lessons with our tennis pro.
  • International camper fee: $150, covers linens, towels, round-trip transportation from Dulles, and a camp t-shirt.

Why Overnight Camp Instead of Day Camp

A day camp sends your child home every afternoon. An overnight session gives them the whole thing: full days of activities, dinner with friends, campfires under the stars, and a cabin full of kids who become their people. During that extra time, growth happens. Campers figure out how to solve small problems on their own, try activities they’d never sign up for at home, and build friendships that go deeper than a few hours a day ever could.

And because Camp Tall Timbers is screen-free, that growth happens without a phone pulling their attention back to everything they left at home. It’s a true break for your camper. Best of all, camp is close enough to the DMV that a weekend or a long summer away never feels too far from home.
