We are proud to introduce Country Roads XC Camp – a program offering high school girls cross-country runners an amazing opportunity to train and grow in an outdoor environment, under the guidance of renowned high school coaches and former collegiate athletes. Space will be limited in order to provide the best coaching and running experience!

Hosted by Camp Tall Timbers, an award-winning overnight summer camp. Located in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Camp Tall Timbers is a convenient drive from Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Washington DC, and Dulles Airport.

 

Proposed Sample Schedule

7:00 AM – Wake up and easy shakeout runs with cabins

8:15 AM – Breakfast followed by announcements, cabin clean-up

9:30 AM – 11:30 AM – Activities (archery, pool, lake, etc.) or weight room

11:30 AM – 12:30 PM – Free time (pool open, ping pong, cards, etc.)

12:30 PM – Lunch followed by announcements and rest hour

2:00 PM – XC education rotations (yoga for runners, nutrition, leadership workshops for captains) or activities

3:00 PM – Snack

3:30 PM – Warm-up, stretching, drills

4:00 PM – Main workout (speed, hills, repeats, etc.)

6:00 PM – Dinner followed by announcements

7:30 PM – Guest speaker and/or evening activity including evening snack time

10:00 PM – In cabins

10:30 PM – Lights out

Coach CJ Ecalono is a former D1 Track & Field Athlete who has been the Head Coach of the girls Track and Cross Country teams at Urbana High School since 2009. His XC teams have won 8 county titles, and 4 regional titles, and we are excited for him to bring his expertise to Country Roads XC Camp!
