We’re Excited to Announce the 2nd Annual Cross Country Camp at Camp Tall Timbers!
Mountain Mama XC Camp is a five-day, intensive program designed for rising 9th through 12th grade high school girls who want to participate in pre-season cross-country training or conditioning for other sports. The girls are given an opportunity to train and grow as cross-country athletes, and as individuals, in an idyllic outdoor environment—the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in West Virginia.
Each Mountain Mama XC Camp athlete will train under the guidance of renowned high school cross-country coaches and former collegiate cross-country athletes. Space will be limited in order to provide the best coaching and running experience for each participant.
Camp Tall Timbers is an award-winning overnight summer camp located in beautiful High View, West Virginia, and is an easy drive from Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Washington D.C., and Washington Dulles International Airport.
| 7:00 AM | Wake up and easy shakeout runs |
| 8:15 AM | Breakfast followed by announcements and cabin cleanup |
| 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM | Camp activities (archery, pool, lake, etc.) or weight room |
| 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM | Free time (pool, ping pong, cards, etc.) |
| 12:30 PM | Lunch, followed by announcements and rest hour |
| 2:00 PM | XC education rotations (yoga for runners, nutrition, leadership workshops for captains) or activities |
| 3:00 PM | Snack |
| 3:30 PM | Warm-up, stretching, drills |
| 4:00 PM | Main workout (speed, hills, repeats, etc.) |
| 6:00 PM | Dinner, followed by announcements |
| 7:30 PM | Guest speaker and/or evening activity including evening snack time |
| 10:00 PM | In cabins |
| 10:30 PM | Lights out |

Camp Tall Timbers has been recognized twice as a Top 50 summer camp in the United States. Camp Tall Timbers was also voted “Best Summer Overnight Camp” in the Best of Bethesda readers’ poll, and was a finalist in the Overnight Camp category in the Washington Parent Picks.
